Nothing much here, the covering buildings are almost done. What you see here are apartment buildings, small and cramped one to be precise. I dunno if they look much like the usual Japanese ones, i guess I'll have to take my chances with them...

The S.T.L. kawazaki shop... yeah, i think this pictures need a bit of explanation :P
The shop is both the small gray house and the gray depot, the rest is just environment. The house is on one side of the street, and its composed by a first floor office, and a common house on the 2 top floors, were the owners live. Attached to the back of it, and with exit to the next parallel street is the garage, were the vehicles are fixed and tuned. Also, a good portion of it is reserved as parking lot for cars under work that can't be stored inside the shop.
For the rest, the yellowish buldings are still being designed/overhauled, so their looks might change yet.

Listening to: Andy Hunter - The Wonders of You

As you can see, the parking lot area is pretty much done, needs details that I'll be getting along the way. Now i need ideas to start filling up the other places. First I'll sort some stuff considering the position of the other shops, aswell some placemarks (gas station, convenience, bus stops, etc.)
Also, I'm getting some help ideas from my teachers at my 3d modeling course, which is a big plus, as have been a long while since the last time someone gave me some serious input on the modeling bits and doubts i have with this model.
Anyway, stay tuned for more updates on this...

New Images from the ongoing project. Almost like an restart. What i did this time was to use Google Earth find a good reference point over the Kawasaki area in Japan, and then model a small section of roads from it. From there i'm now adding my custom made buildings, filling the area slowly. On these pictures you can see the Feroci PA plus some other stores, like a mini-mart, random buildings and possible a restaurant (not made yet).

Madness... this is pure madness... I don't know anymore for how long i have been into this project, or what changes I've made to it. Still, i keep going with it, and I honestly don't know if I'll ever finish it.
Anyway, this is an attempt to make a photo realistic 3d scene for Racer, in order to have nice places to use for future "render shots" that I'll produce and put ingame. Like the name basically says, it's an small portion of an japanese neighborhood area, with lots of typical details. all models on are are barely based on constructions I've seen on pictures scattered around the web, mixing lots of elements trying to create something unique.
So far, if everything follows the actual plan, i shall cut the map a bit and add all the planed stores / houses in a single block. I only hope that it doesn't become a polymonster map by the end of it. Also, i'll probably drop some colors in a more advanced stage to make easier to notice the details of it... :P
